ABOUT SEARCH ENGINE SUBMISSION & SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION
Q. What is Search Engine Submission (SES)?
A. Search Engine Submission is a system for ‘connecting’ your website to the major search engines such as GOOGLE, YAHOO, and MSN etc. This enables individuals to find your site when they enter relevant information into their search field within the search engine site. Search Engine Submission is included in our price.
Q. So what is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?
A. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a different aspect to Search Engine Submission (SES). SES enable individuals to find your website if they put into a Search Engine (i.e. Google) a term DIRECTLY relevant to your company name. (i.e. john smith garage alfreton). However, Search Engine Optimisation is a service offered enabling the surfer to find your site by entering relevant keywords NOT DIRECTLY REALTED to your BUSINESS NAME (i.e. garage services alfreton). Many web design companies include SES as part of their service and fee, most companies do NOT offer Search Engine Optimisation and charge many hundreds of pounds for this service.
Q. So is SEO included in the price?
A. Yes. We include basic SEO aspects within the build of your website. Increased activity is offered to increase (or optimise) your site which can be included in your monthly fee.
Please contact us on 01773 813 740 for more information.
ABOUT CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (CMS)
Q. What is CMS?
A. A CMS or Content Management System is a site whereby the client
can access the administration area of the site to change its content.
Q. How do I access the administration area of my site?
A. You are given a User Name and Password.
Q. Do you offer training for using the CMS Site?
A. Yes. As part of the White Knight CMS package, we offer a 4 hour training session with training manual and helpline for after sales support.
Q. Can anyone else access the admin area of my site?
A. No... unless of course you give them your user name and password.
Q. Does this mean I can let an employee access the admin area?
A. Yes. You can let anyone access the admin area if you give them the User Name and Password.
Q. What happens of the employee leaves my company... how do I make sure they cannot cause harm to my website?
A. You can change the User Name and Password to your site to eliminate this problem.
Q. What happens if I make a mistake and change the whole look of the site?
A. The ‘content’ is usually the text or images within the site... rather than the whole design of the site.
Q. Do I need a PC to make these changes?
A. Not necessarily. Because the administration area of the site

Q. How come there are no long-term contracts?
A. Rather than offer long term contracts, we like to think that our services can stand on the merit by offering our clients a simple 28 day rolling agreement. This enables clients to pull out of the agreement at just 28 days notice.
Q. Why do you offer 28 day rolling agreement when many other providers tie you into 12, 18 and 24 month contracts?
A. We are a small company and offer this as an alternative to many larger corporate provider’s long-term contracts. We have countless stories of unhappy business owners leaving contracts at the end of their period moving to our service... comfortable in the knowledge that they can move away should a better offer become available.
Q. Why is there a ‘set-up’ fee and then a monthly charge?
A. There are various ‘up front’ and ‘ongoing’ fees in building and maintaining a website. The reason we charge a set-up fee and also a monthly fee is to ensure we have a small commitment from the client prior to committing time and money in Hosting, Domain Names and of course the cost of our Web Developers Time. We like to think that we are sharing the cost of the investment of the website with you and rather than charge you a high fee for your site we offer you the opportunity not only to spread the cost of the site but this also guarantees that we will provide you with a first class service.. . Or you can cancel your agreement!
Q. So how do I pay for the website?
A. The set up fee is normally paid by cheque or cash and the ongoing monthly fee by Standing Order.
Q. Why Standing Order and not Direct Debit?
A. Because you are in total control of a Standing Order and we are NOT able to change the monthly fee. This is simply to offer you peace of mind.... one single, fixed monthly payment made on the same date of the month, enabling you to budget.
Q. Other companies charge a one off or yearly fee... Why don’t you?
A. We do have packages with one-off or annual fees... however the majority of our clients choose our open-ended 28 day agreement. Our monthly payment plan is the result of us asking our clients the preferred option to pay for their website. Other packages are available on request.
Q. What if I want to just pay a one-off fee?
A. Whilst this is available we do not recommend this option, mainly because a website requires ongoing maintenance to ensure the site is working to its optimum performance.
